You will learn the professional aspects of journalism practice, the history and economics of the media, social and ethical issues, together with a theoretical understanding of media law and regulation.

Web Media:

The Web Media stream provides a pathway to a career in the expanding field of web-based media and communications, from website creation to online community management. The stream emphasises social media and networking, and units involve practical components together with core concepts, giving you the necessary understanding and skills, you need in the socially productive and culturally rich online environment.

Marketing:

This stream introduces you to the key skills and knowledge needed for successful marketing. It is a dynamic area that involves helping businesses differentiate themselves from their competitors to gain a competitive edge. It is about understanding who businesses should be targeting, then working out how they can persuade their target audience to buy their product or service. The Marketing stream will provide you with an understanding of how marketing works, consumer behaviour and will give you the chance to explore specific aspects of marketing, including:
