With immense global urbanisation, never before has interior design offered so many opportunities to change the way people live. In the LCI Melbourne Interior Design program, you will develop the conceptual, theoretical and technical knowledge required to excel in a career where place and people meet, in a diverse range of private, public, residential and commercial environments.

Students will learn how to conceptualise, develop, and produce dynamic and engaging spaces in various sectors of the built environment. The course explores the varied facets of interior design, from designing spaces with a view to specific industries, such as display suites for Residential design, to catering to specific demographics, such as modifying spaces to accommodate special user needs.

Our course also prepares students for contemporary careers in a connected world. Students will explore sustainable design through consideration of natural textiles, energy efficient materials, and ergonomic design. They will also learn how to style, shoot and promote their work, with a focus on understanding the impact of social media in interior design and developing skills such as communicating design concepts and styling flat lays for Instagram.
