This exciting new course is approved against the new Nursing and Midwifery Council Future Nurse: Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses (May 2018). These standards set out the skills and knowledge you as the next generation of nurses will learn, to enable you to deliver world class care to children/young people and their families.As a 21st century nurse you will learn how to:? Be emotionally intelligent and resilient and manage your personal health and wellbeing.? Provide, lead and coordinate care that is compassionate, evidence based, and person centred. ? Care for people in their own home, in the community or hospital or in any health care settings. ? Contribute to the promotion of health, health protection and the prevention of ill health, by empowering people, communities and populations to exercise choice, take control of their own health decisions and behaviours.? Provide leadership in the delivery of care for people of all ages and from different backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. ? Provide nursing care for people who have complex mental, physical, cognitive and behavioural care needs and for people at the end of their life. ? Work across health and social care services and play a proactive role in multidisciplinary teams. ?
