先講寄生的概念：一方benefit一方harm，引出mutualism的概念(both benefit)，然后講endomutualism,就是動(dòng)物之間的共生.舉一種生物的egg和另一種生物共生，還講了為什么可以共生，學(xué)生提問會(huì)不會(huì)受到免疫系統(tǒng)的影響之類的。

鳥的叫聲

教授引導(dǎo)學(xué)生講出鳥鳴一方面是為了警告趕走敵人，另一方面是為了吸引配偶。接下來講影響鳥的叫聲的原因。在機(jī)場旁邊的鳥會(huì)受機(jī)場噪音干擾，很早就鳴叫，而通常應(yīng)該是跟sunrise同步。于是科學(xué)家在五個(gè)不同的地點(diǎn)做實(shí)驗(yàn)，這些地點(diǎn)太陽升起的時(shí)間是不同的，有的不會(huì)受人造光的影響，有的忘了。最后發(fā)現(xiàn)，因?yàn)橛性胍?，鳥鳴會(huì)在天仍暗的時(shí)候早于日出而與噪音發(fā)生同步，會(huì)讓他們更易被天敵捉到。同時(shí)城市高樓會(huì)造成echo回音，使得這邊的鳥叫聲不高。尤其heavytrain怎么怎么樣。

歷史課教學(xué)

一個(gè)男student teacher跟老師說起他的歷史課教學(xué)，他沒想到原來這么不容易(考點(diǎn))。他曾在之前的self-evaluation 里說要注重 control, 但后來他改變的想法(考點(diǎn))。老師很欣賞他把a(bǔ)rt和music引入歷史教學(xué)中(考點(diǎn))。然后他還提到下周要做的事(考點(diǎn))。

bacteria如何生存

細(xì)菌可以生活在溫度高達(dá)400°的海域，通過二氧化硫來維持生活。同時(shí)也可以生存在零下的冰層里，通過將硫化物轉(zhuǎn)為硫酸鹽和亞硫酸鹽來獲得營養(yǎng)。但根據(jù)檢測這篇區(qū)域的硫并沒有減少，因?yàn)榧?xì)菌懂得循環(huán)使用硫。鐵可以循環(huán)硫，自身可以和巖石里的物質(zhì)進(jìn)行循環(huán)。

音樂的發(fā)展史

這篇主要描述了音樂的歷史，不同的音樂可以用來傳達(dá)不同的感情，早期羅馬時(shí)期古老的音樂用來人與人之間交流。重點(diǎn)提到巴洛克時(shí)期的音樂，常形成對比，賦予其緊張感。也提到了復(fù)調(diào)和主調(diào)音樂，復(fù)調(diào)是沒有主旋律和伴聲之分，相互層疊;主調(diào)音樂是以一條旋律為主,其它的音響材料都是它的陪襯,起著烘托主要旋律的作用。最后提及戲劇，需要更多的歌手和樂器伴奏，同時(shí)也會(huì)賦予更多的情感變化，推動(dòng)音樂的故事性。

講座：

1、經(jīng)濟(jì)類講到了財(cái)政赤字沒有傳統(tǒng)想象中對經(jīng)濟(jì)有不利影響國家可以通過2種方式(債券和股份?)來 makeup

5、為何秋天葉子上有綠色：和 green island相關(guān)，說看到秋天葉子變色，但有些葉子還是綠色的，主要是因?yàn)橐恍┘?xì)菌啊什么的

6、一個(gè)關(guān)于心理學(xué)的實(shí)驗(yàn)，用了人們在戶外和室內(nèi)證明全球變暖的idea和人們所處溫度關(guān)系。

7、landscape painting：美國畫家的風(fēng)景畫：開始講 portrait，因?yàn)槟莻€(gè)畫家喜歡畫nature，所以變成風(fēng)景畫 landscape了，并且還在櫥國展示，后來講了一幅他的畫些描述畫的細(xì)節(jié)，目的是說明這些畫可以傳達(dá)感情。

8、地下建筑：學(xué)生找老師想換論文題目，因?yàn)楹芨信d趣 underground architecture，老實(shí)說之前的的題目OK，但是和和要求不符，都是fact，這個(gè)新題目可以，但更關(guān)注 outline，并且可以看看土耳其的相似建筑。

9、心理學(xué)，說人們的state會(huì)影響future，比如現(xiàn)在很飽，就會(huì)想到以后能有enough food來吃。做了三個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)，第一個(gè)在戶外測，第二個(gè)覺得戶外不準(zhǔn)確，所以加入了 indoor，第三個(gè)覺得還是不準(zhǔn)，希望被試自己體驗(yàn)溫度。但其實(shí)實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果都是一樣的。

9月16日預(yù)測

Conversation 1-學(xué)生和雇員

學(xué)生去找雇員抱怨說停車位太滿了，自己買了停車位，但是每天來到學(xué)校都沒有位置，只能停在校外的馬路上，還要另付停車費(fèi)。雇員首先詢問學(xué)生是不是更改了課表，學(xué)生說是的，之前是下午上課，現(xiàn)在是上午上課，雇員說確實(shí)如此，因?yàn)槁毠ぴ缟系臅r(shí)候也會(huì)占用學(xué)員的停車位，所以會(huì)緊張，并提到現(xiàn)在有兩個(gè)停車場在建，不過要兩年后建成，說到可以做一部分退款，學(xué)生說晚上來圖書館還是需要停車的，最后提到騎自行車，公共交通來學(xué)校上課有助于緩解停車?yán)щy。

Conversation 2-學(xué)生和藝術(shù)學(xué)教授

學(xué)生去找professor詢問一個(gè)意大利畫家的關(guān)于威尼斯的繪畫，學(xué)生覺得過于真實(shí)，沒有角度，教授解釋繪畫是為了旅行者而畫，后來說到畫家后來去了倫敦，繪畫較為夸張，天空太藍(lán)，光線太亮，最后說到去網(wǎng)上搜索該畫家后續(xù)畫作，幫助學(xué)生寫論文。

講到了生物的ageing，一種是biological clock，一種是跟cell有關(guān)。

Lecture2-文學(xué)

在19世紀(jì)初A Lane這個(gè)人坐火車的時(shí)候想買小說上車看，結(jié)果全是大部頭小說不方便攜帶，他想出了一種簡單輕便的便攜小說書。后期創(chuàng)辦了penguin book，里面有9篇小說，封面就是penguin，并用不同顏色標(biāo)注不同種類小說。

Lecture3-歷史

農(nóng)業(yè)發(fā)展史，中世紀(jì)人口擴(kuò)張，導(dǎo)致food減少，土地資源減少。農(nóng)民之前用的plow沒辦法耕到更深的土地，所以發(fā)明了一種heavy plow，能夠犁的更深。同時(shí)農(nóng)民認(rèn)識(shí)到馬比牛耕地快，所以更多的使用馬耕地運(yùn)輸，由于馬的使用，也使耕地面積進(jìn)一步擴(kuò)大，并且可以每年有一部分土地休整。

Lecture4-天文

Europa行星，是Jupiter的衛(wèi)星，上面可能會(huì)有生命存在，對比了地球生命的形成，提到了Jupiter的引力有助于Europa的ice break，產(chǎn)生氧氣，同時(shí)星球上有水源，可能會(huì)有早期生命形態(tài)，人類有一個(gè)breaker計(jì)劃，幫助Europa海洋水破冰，產(chǎn)生氧氣，不確定是不是會(huì)有用，有用可能也要很多年。
