Task 2

1.Some people prefer to work in an office, others prefer to work at home. Which do you prefer？

in an office: work with other employees, discuss and solve problems together; better working environment with advance equipment, for e.g., meeting room, printer, projector and so on; be more focused and won’t get distracted.

at home: more comfortable working environment; reduce commuting; flexible working hours

2.Participating in team sports is a good way for young person to learn team cooperation, do you agree or disagree？

agree: Teamwork in sports promotes cooperation. Children learn how to better cooperate with their teammates, even if they are not particularly fond of a teammate or two. Cooperation means putting differences aside for the greater good of the team. For example, members of a football team need to cooperate to successfully perform a play, whether it be a running play or a passing play. Without all involved in the play working together to make the play happen, the other team could wind up with the ball.

3.Some people prefer sending messages while others prefer making phone calls directly, which one do you prefer?

text message: short, sweet and efficient, text messages are instant and mobile, which means they can be read and exchanged at almost any time; when you are in transit, chatting on the phone can be irritating and insensitive to those around you; good reminder to others; won’t disturb others, more polite, text messages can be read at the recipient’s leisure

make phone call: hear other people’s voice, have a direct communication with others; get instant response, efficient

4.Your community has received a large amount of donation, should it be used to construct a playground for children or build a garden for the community? 

playground: children can do sports, beneficial for physical and mental health; don’t need too much money to maintain

5.Do you agree or disagree that parents today put more pressure on their children than parents in the past? 

agree: social competition is more and more fierce, parents have high expectation on kids, enter the best schools, get a decent job in the future, live better material life
