Describe an adventurous person who you know.

You should say:

who the person is

how you know this person

what this person does that is adventurous

and explain why you think this person likes to take risks.

范文1：

I think the most adventurous person I have ever known has to be my brother. It was in the last year of his Bachelors that he realized his flair for travelling. When everyone was looking for jobs, he decided to travel. Earning some money through freelancing he started travelling. It was in those travels that he picked up day jobs, to let him survive and let the journey going.

我認為我所認識的最有冒險精神的人應(yīng)該是我的兄弟。在他本科畢業(yè)的最后一年，他意識到自己的旅行天賦。當(dāng)大家都在找工作時，他決定去旅行。通過自由職業(yè)賺了一些錢，他開始旅行。在旅行過程中，他找到了白天的工作，以此生存下來和讓旅程繼續(xù)下去。

It was after one long year that I met him and the stories that he told were amazing. He went hitch hiking from Dehradun to Kanyakumari, taking with him an initial amount of only 1000 rupees. So, there were times when he took lifts, did jobs to let him earn some money and mixed with local people. In the entire journey he was able to learn the basic language for almost 5 languages and can now very well interact with us using those language. He made friends and there are people he goes to meet even now.

在漫長的一年之后，我遇到了他，他講的故事令人驚嘆。他從德拉敦徒步旅行到根尼亞古馬里，最初只帶了1000盧比。所以，有時他乘電梯，做一些工作，賺點錢，和當(dāng)?shù)厝嘶煸谝黄?。在整個旅行中，他學(xué)習(xí)了差不多五種語言的基本語言，現(xiàn)在可以很好地使用這些語言與我們交流。他交上了朋友，現(xiàn)在他還要去見一些人。

When I asked if he did any adventurous sports, he replied saying he did lived an adventurous life. And this was something that did strike me.

當(dāng)我問他是否做過任何冒險的運動時，他回答說他確實過著冒險的生活。這確實給我留下了深刻的印象。

Knowing absolutely nothing about what can happen the next moment and then having the faith that everything will work out fine is something that he has learnt from this trip. Although he has taken up a job, but the adventure in him is still alive, the reason why he takes trips every six months.完全不知道下一刻會發(fā)生什么，然后相信一切都會好起來，這是他從這次旅行中學(xué)到的東西。雖然他已經(jīng)接受了一份工作，但他的冒險精神仍然存在，這就是他每六個月要旅行一次的原因。

范文2：

Ok, I’m going to describe an adventurous person I know. Well, if I’m gonna be totally honest with you, I don’t really know that many adventurous people, so I’ve had to rack my brains a little to think of someone, and one person that came to mind is a guy called Tom, who’s in his late fifties right now, but lives life as if he was in his early twenties.

好的，我要描述一個我認識的喜歡冒險的人。好吧，坦誠地說，我真的不知道很多喜歡冒險的人，所以我不得不絞盡腦汁去想一個人，我想到一個人叫湯姆，現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)是近六旬的人，但卻像一個二十出頭的人一樣生活著。

As for how I know him, well basically, he used to be a colleague of my dad’s, and since they were also good friends, we would often invite him over for lunch or dinner at weekends.

至于我對他的了解，主要是，他是我爸爸的同事，他們也是好朋友，所以我們經(jīng)常在周末邀請他一起吃午飯或晚餐。

And regarding why I think he’s adventurous, well, I suppose there are quite a number of reasons, one of which would be that he’s not afraid to take risks, because after he left my dad’s company, he went on to start up his own company, even though he didn’t have that much experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t do too well, but that didn’t stop him from trying again in another industry!

關(guān)于為什么我認為他是個愛冒險的人，好吧，我想有很多原因，其中之一是，他不害怕冒險, 盡管他沒有那么多經(jīng)驗，但他離開我爸爸的公司，成立了自己的公司。不幸的是，他做得不太好，但這并不能阻止他再次嘗試另一個行業(yè)!

So that would be on the work front, and when it comes to travelling, he always likes going to places which are off the beaten track, because he finds them more interesting, and he will never go on holiday to the same place twice!

這是在工作方面，說到旅行，他總是喜歡去一些人跡罕至的地方，因為他覺得那里更有趣，而且他永遠不會去同一個地方度假兩次!

So finally, with regard to whether or not I can learn anything from him, well, thinking about it, I’d say there are a number of things, for example, he’s a guy that lives life to the fullest, and from looking at the things he’s done, I’ve kind of seen how to really enjoy life and live every day as if it were my last. Finally, I would add that Tom has not been afraid to try anything new, no matter how old he was, a prime example being that he started to learn windsurfing, which is a very physical sport, when he was in his mid-forties. So that’s taught me that age should not hold you back in anything, and if you want to try something new, then just go for it. As the old saying goes, "variety is the spice of life".

最后，關(guān)于我是否可以從他身上學(xué)到東西，嗯，想想，我想說有很多東西，例如，他生活充實，從看他做的事情，我真的看到了如何真正享受生活，那就是把每一天當(dāng)作生命的最后一天來過。最后，我想補充一點，湯姆不怕嘗試任何新事物，不管他多大年齡，一個最好的例子就是他在四十多歲時開始學(xué)習(xí)風(fēng)帆沖浪，這是一項需要非常大體力的運動。這告訴我，年齡不應(yīng)該阻礙你做任何事，如果你想嘗試新事物，那就去嘗試。常言道：“變化是生活的調(diào)味品”。
