1.關于媒體對孩子造成的影響：游戲、電影、電視劇給孩子帶來的影響都是雙面的，正面影響有：孩子可以通過打游戲、看電視等方式，了解到更多的知識，如認識各種動植物或學習必要的生活常識(common sense)等，這些都有助于構建孩子與世界的聯(lián)系，增加他們的知識量，激發(fā)他們的好奇心。

但負面影響是：一方面過多地接觸電子屏幕對視力(eyesight)和骨骼都是有損害的，尤其對于正在成長發(fā)育的孩子來說，這種損害會更明顯;另一方面，不同于已經(jīng)有足夠經(jīng)驗和穩(wěn)定是非善惡觀(moral sense)的成年人，孩子會盲目接受和學習其所看到的一切行為，如果沒有成人監(jiān)管和引導的話，有些影視游戲作品中展現(xiàn)出的惡行(misdeed)，經(jīng)常會成為孩子們模仿的對象，造成不良后果。

2.關于媒體對成年人造成的影響：便利的信息傳播手段(ways to disseminate information)給人們的生活帶來了極大的便利，手機、電話、電腦的出現(xiàn)，使人們無需出門，也能聯(lián)系到千里之外的人，實現(xiàn)溝通的目的。

同時，各種新聞軟件、廣告等，讓人可以足不出戶，便了解到天下事，極大地滿足了人們的求知欲(thirst for knowledge)。但其弊端也隨之而產(chǎn)生，由于溝通已經(jīng)無需見面，人們面對面交流的機會減少了，而缺乏表情和肢體的互動，會在一定程度上導致人們產(chǎn)生孤獨感。同時，經(jīng)過加工(process)后的媒體信息，很多時候都并非客觀真實(objective andauthentic)的，人們很容易被其誤導。
