Overview

Develop the entrepreneurial flair to kick-start, manage and grow your own business or help an existing enterprise to expand. You will gain a broad understanding of how businesses operate and you will develop the techniques and principles to succeed in today's economic climate. As well as teaching the overall skills, attitudes and behaviours needed in business, this course will recognise your individual promise and help to shape you as a budding and innovative entrepreneur.

You will learn how to harness creativity to solve business problems and make better products and services. We explore the pros and cons of freelancing, the challenges of launching a business and how to take an innovative product to market. There is also a focus on how start-up ventures and small businesses can prosper in the global landscape.

This course is designed to integrate a deep understanding of the subject matter with the development of key skills and competencies needed, allowing you to adapt to a rapidly changing, dynamic and competitive global marketplace. Upon completion, you will be able to:

Explain concepts and procedures related to entrepreneurial functions and processes.
Apply and integrate knowledge and tools used by business professionals.
Participate and perform effectively as participants and leaders in various group settings.
Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of moral and ethical reasoning and responsible citizenship.
Demonstrate innovation, creativity and adaptability in problem-solving.
Gather and evaluate information and use it for effective decision-making.
