The EQUALS Bachelor of Human Services is a professional, integrated and comprehensive human services course that offers comprehensive up to date knowledge and experience discipline-specific, practical and applied training. From core learning and the development of critical skills and thinking, through to the development of ethical practice and professionalism, you’ll emerge as a competent practitioner. You will practice applying your knowledge through latest case studies, unique problem solving, group collaboration, essays, the completion of practical exercises, unique professional placements, research, and examinations. You will become a ‘work-ready’ graduate with acquired knowledge and experience in all aspects of contemporary human services and health management. You’ll gain both depth and breadth; from traditional heath management administration units, through to more specialised options.

As a graduate of EQUALS you will: demonstrate a commitment to the service of humanity through an expression of humility and compassion; advocate for diversity, justice, and equality and seek to empower others; demonstrate professional competence in all aspects of human services and community work delivery strive to maintain the highest professional standards of care and personal integrity; and be committed to continuing to improve your own professional practice through learning and the acquisition of new knowledge and skills.

Duration: By standard study mode (2 trimesters per academic year) = 3 years full time

Fee: The full time indicative 2020 annual course fee for international students is: AUD $20,768 for full time standard study mode (for 2 trimesters of 4 units); AUD $31,152 for full time accelerated study mode (for 3 trimesters of 4 units)

Higher education study: For those applicants whose highest level of study since leaving secondary education (school) is an accredited higher education provider (including university). Vocational education and training (VET) study: For those applicants whose highest level of study since leaving secondary education (school) is an accredited VET course. Work and life experience (includes less recent secondary results): For those applicants who left secondary education (school) more than two years ago and have not undertaken any VET or higher education study since then. English Language proficiency requirements are applicable to international students and in addition to academic or special entry requirements noted in the Admission Pathway section. Equivalent IELTS 6.0 (Academic) with no skills band less than 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 60-78.
