For students seeking a career in law, this course equips them with skills for the courtroom and beyond, providing greater scope and options for a rewarding career in the legal, corporate, commercial and social justice fields.

Students can add value to their degree by selecting elective units in specialised areas of law. Students may also participate in the Law Society Peer Mentoring Program, The Innocence Project, The Law Access Program and international mooting competitions to give them real world experience and the competitive edge in the job market.

Course Learning Outcomes

Potential careers exist in private practice, in-house corporate practice and in-house government. Corporate planning, government policy, politics, journalism, creative writing and many other careers dependent on excellent written and verbal communications skills, logic and analytical ability are also welcome options for graduates.

Course structure

Students are required to complete 22 Core units and 10 LAW elective units.

Applicants must have National College Entrance Exam (Gao Kao) OR Successful completion of one year of tertiary study Standard Entry - A minimum of 65.6% of the overall score, Higher Entry - A minimum of 70% of the overall score. Minimum requirements for secondary school results can change, depending on the country where you completed secondary study. English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17; PTE Academic: PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 52 - 57 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169; or a minimum TOEFL score of 550 including TWE of 5.
