Provides Registered Nurses with an opportunity to obtain an Australian degree if they hold a Diploma level qualification in their country of origin.

The course is not Professionally-Accredited and therefore does not lead to registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia.

Course Learning Outcomes

Access, evaluate and synthesise relevant information from multiple sources using digital technologies to inform nursing practice.
Anticipate and identify potential challenges and develop appropriate nursing strategies and solutions.
Apply broad health knowledge to a range of theoretical and practical nursing situations.
Critically analyse, interpret and conceptualise complex nursing practice.
Demonstrate a global outlook with respect for cultural diversity, including Indigenous cultural competence.
Demonstrate autonomy, accountability and judgement for own learning and professional nursing practice in accordance with the NMBA standards for practice.
Demonstrate the Registered Nurse Standards for Practice required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia for registration.
Independently communicate nursing knowledge, concepts and values clearly and coherently.
Work collaboratively within the nursing team and with other health care professionals to ethically and effectively respond to diverse health care challenges.

Applicants must have National College Entrance Exam (Gao Kao) OR Successful completion of one year of tertiary study Standard Entry - A minimum of 65.6% of the overall score, Higher Entry - A minimum of 70% of the overall score. Minimum requirements for secondary school results can change, depending on the country where you completed secondary study. English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17; PTE Academic: PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 52 - 57 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169; or a minimum TOEFL score of 550 including TWE of 5.
