Lincoln University's Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology with Honours is a one-year qualification for students who have completed a relevant undergraduate degree - usually the Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology. This programme emphasises the integration of grape-growing and wine-making and its importance in the production of a quality product. Advanced study in this area includes exposure to the most recent research findings from Lincoln University's laboratories, as well as from around the world. The University's V&O output has been instrumental in the development of the grape and wine industry in Canterbury and Marlborough. Research programmes at Lincoln led directly to the establishment of South Island regions as viable areas for cool-climate viticulture and wine-making.

Summary of Regulations
All of the following:
? 80 credits (4 courses) at the 600 level
? A 40 credit dissertation.

Students can start in:
? Semester One (late February) or
? Semester Two (mid July).
There are also options for starting in summer semesters.

University Entrance through NCEA, or an approved equivalent qualification. International qualifications. GCE ‘A’ Levels A minimum of 3 results with at least 1 grade at Level C or above. (General Studies is not to be used as one of the results.). English Language Requirements: IELTS academic score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component less than 5.5; TOEFL (iBT) overall score of 60 (with at least 18 in writing); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) and First (FCE) overall score of 169, with no individual component less than 162; Pearson Test of English (Academic) overall score of 50 with no communicative skills score less than 42; NZ Certificates in English Language (NZCEL) Level 4 (Academic Endorsement); Lincoln University English Language LU EL 65%.
