The purpose of the Chinese (Honours) Bachelor of Arts program is to develop students' independent thinking skills, broaden their knowledge areas, pay special attention to improving Chinese language proficiency, and master the methods of studying literature. This course covers literary studies and professional writing. It focuses on multi-angle literary studies and on the writing and study of media and official documents.

Students completing this course will achieve the following objectives should be:

After completing this course, students should achieve the following goals:
1. Have excellent Chinese writing and communication skills;
2. Have a rich knowledge of Chinese;
3. Have a profound and extensive knowledge of Chinese classical and modern literature;
4. Be able to transcend Interdisciplinary methods to study Chinese literary works;
5. Good professional writing skills (including media and business document writing);
6. Broad vision and logical thinking and analytical skills;
7. Good English proficiency.

Learning result

The Chinese (Hons) Bachelor of Arts program is designed around the following learning outcomes:

1. Knowledge

Acquire relevant knowledge of Chinese language, writing, classical literature, modern literature and literary criticism.

Possess good Chinese language and writing skills, as well as the ability to analyze and appreciate Chinese literature.
