This course prepares you for a dynamic career in agriculture as you develop core skills in science, chemistry and biology while pursuing a major of your choice in Animal Science, Animal Health or Crop and Pasture Science.

As well as gaining firm theoretical knowledge, you’ll also be exposed to extensive practical experience in both laboratory and farm settings. During these pracs you’ll learn how properties and agribusinesses are managed, how to drive production efficiencies, animal handling techniques and management skills, plus more.

You can also choose a minor in either Equine Science or Applied Animal Production in which you’ll learn about animal breeding, equine nutrition and equine physiology.

Customise your course

Customise your course by choosing a major of interest. Pick between Animal Science, Animal Health or Crop and Pasture Science. You can also pick two majors to graduate with a double major or alternatively, choose one major and a minor in either Equine Science or Applied Animal Production.
For students wanting to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine, we suggest completing a double major in Animal Health and Animal Science as a pathway into Bachelor of Science / Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

When you graduate from this course, you’ll be able to pursue careers in agriculture, agribusiness, and government to work in policy, technical, research and administrative roles.
