Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Telecommunications)(本科)專業(yè)概況
The world is connected more than ever before. People can talk, text, video, and exchange data at any time through one device. The Bachelor of Engineering Technology focuses on developing theoretical and practical aspects of telecommunications systems and services, including the internet and mobile networks such as 4G/5G/6G, broadband optical, wireless, satellite, and cable systems.
Taught by lecturers with specialist industry experience, this course will equip you with the skills to plan, design, implement and manage telecommunication protocols, systems, and infrastructure.
You will learn about a broad range of telecommunications technologies (such as 4G/5G/6G mobile and Wi-Fi) and the Internet of Things (IoT), cable and satellite systems.
To graduate from the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Telecommunications), students must complete 360 credit points overall. Each unit (except the Industry Experience) is worth 15 credit points, and full-time students undertake four units per trimester.
FIRST YEAR AND SECOND YEAR
Students learn about the principles and fundamentals of telecommunication engineering and are provided with skills in mathematics and networking to broaden their career scopes and prospects.
THIRD YEAR
In the final year, students are provided with an in-depth understanding of modern telecommunication networks, services and applications to make them job ready. Students also undertake major design and implementation projects that give them the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts in problem solving, design, project management, communication and deepening for soft skills.

Graduates of the course may find employment in Telecommunications Engineering, network management and telecommunications services within a broad range of public and private organisations. Typical roles include telecommunication engineer, network technician, telecommunication network designer, telecommunication network developer, network architect, network manager, network analyst or security analyst.
