Supply Chain Operations Management (SCOM) is the management of an interconnected flow of goods or processes involved in the provision of product and service packages required by the end customers in a supply chain. It is also defined as the designing, planning, executing, controlling, monitoring, and integrating of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand and measuring performance globally. This shifts the focus from the unit enterprise to the entire supply chain with all its stakeholders.

The aim of this programmed is to equip undergraduate students with the management principles, theories and practices that are essential for the effective supply chain operations management in today’s global and highly competitive markets. The programmed is also developed to give students an advantage in understanding the processes and techniques for developing operations strategy and managing supply chain operation activities.

The assessment includes a combination of examinations, field trips, projects and assignments, as well as the required completion of a dissertation for the Final Year Project. Students will acquire up-to-date vocational skills that are relevant and competitive. This reflects the complex and challenging nature of the supply chain operations sector.
