Electrical and Electronic engineering is at the forefront of developing new technologies for a number of industries including transport, healthcare, construction, and robotics. This engineering discipline is built on the idea of improving systems to help humanity. In industry 4.0, Electrical and Electronic Engineering would be fundamental in connectivity and communication section, human-machine interaction as well as advanced manufacturing since most smart systems would rely on numerous sensors for real time analysis. This program provides a well-established balance between theory and practical. Graduates of the program can be in a broad area of applications which include industries such as integrated circuit(IC), automotive, aerospace, power plants, telecommunication and many more.

The accreditation of this program is done by Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and not Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC). Hence the program is not recognized by Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). In order to register as Graduate Engineer with BEM, graduates have to top up their study with a master degree by instruction (master by coursework) in the relevant field from accredited universities / institutions.

Engineering may not be the easiest areas of study, but it is the subject areas that continue to be in demand, and the graduates are also more likely to find employment quickly and work their way up the career ladder with an engineering degree under their belt. As Malaysia strives towards a developed nation status, engineers have a key-role to play in enhancing the quality of life through the advancement of science and technology. With such a pivotal role to play, qualified and skilled engineers are in escalating demand and will remain to be throughout the world.
