The Victoria University of Wellington Foundation Studies Programme is taught by UP International College New Zealand to prepare international students for entry into Victoria University undergraduate courses.

The programme ensures you not only meet Victoria University undergraduate course entry requirements but that you are fully prepared for the challenges of degree-level study. Classes are delivered by caring, highly-qualified teachers in a supportive and personalised learning environment.

Flexibility

The programme offers flexibility with options for courses of 6, 8, 12 or 18 months’ duration (two, three, four or six terms), depending on academic background and English language proficiency.

University Pathways

Students who successfully complete a Foundation Studies programme are guaranteed entry to an appropriate Victoria University undergraduate degree.

Two offers of place from the start

Students who apply for the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation Studies Programme receive two offers of place: a letter of offer for Foundation Studies, and a conditional letter of offer for an undergraduate degree at Victoria University. An unconditional offer of place is issued once you complete the programme and meet admission requirements.

Entry to University

All Victoria University undergraduate degree offers require University Entrance (UE): successful completion of 120 credits, plus a minimum of 50% in English for Tertiary Study Parts I and II,

Introductory Mathematics and New Zealand Culture and Society, plus 50% or higher in optional subjects equal to 60 credits.
