Studying at the International Study Centre will develop the English language and academic skills you need to succeed in an undergraduate degree at University College Dublin. We offer one programme the International Foundation Year with a choice of two subject routes. Studying on UCD's main campus you will prepare to make a confident start to your degree.

The International Study Centre programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with UCD.

Assessment and progression

Assessment is a combination of examinations, coursework, presentations and extended essays. Complete the International Foundation Year and achieve the required grades, then you can progress to your chosen degree.

Career development

At the International Study Centre you will develop skills for your future career success. Your International Foundation Year includes integrated workplace skills development activities.

Though a variety of activities, CareerAhead provides you with opportunities to develop a range of skills employers look for. These include team work, problem solving and communication. Staff will help you identify your personal qualities and strengths, and with support from your tutor you will create a personal development plan to set goals for your future.

Business, Economics and Social Sciences

Progress to UCD with the International Foundation Year in Business, Economics and Social Sciences. This pathway leads to undergraduate study at the renowned Quinn School of Business, the College of Social Sciences and Law as well as the College of Arts and Humanities.
