The Rady School's Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) is a STEM Designated that will prepare students for a wide range of accounting career opportunities that span public accounting firms, corporate accounting departments, and not-for-profit and governmental organizations. The foundation of the MPAc experience at Rady includes outstanding faculty, integrative accounting knowledge, team projects, emphasis on communication and teamwork, case studies, professional seminars, guest speakers, simulations, and hands on-experiences.

In the Rady School MPAc program you will:

Fulfill accounting education requirements for CPA licensure.

Acquire an advanced degree to become more attractive to potential employers.

Be part of the UC San Diego and Rady School networks.

Access personal career coaches via Rady’s Graduate Career Management Center.

Work in a diverse team as you learn key business functions such as marketing, finance and operations.

The MPAc does meet all states and territories CPA licensure education requirements. Please note that admission into programs for professions that require licensure and certification does not guarantee that students will obtain a license or certificate. Licensure and certification requirements are set by agencies that are not controlled by or affiliated with the University of California and licensure and certification requirements can change at any time.

Successful applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or the equivalent from an accredited institution in the United States or from a recognized university-level academic institution abroad. Completed coursework for international applicants must demonstrate the equivalent of at least a B average in the United States. Minimum scores for TOEFL: 85 for the internet based test (iBT), Minimum score for IELTS is 7, and the minimum PTE Academic score required for graduate admission is Overall Score: 65.
