Project managers plan and organise resources and people to ensure projects finish on time, within budget and meet the requirements of the business. This MSc prepares you for a rewarding career in project management.

Career prospects

Graduates will be able to gain employment as project managers in a wide field of organisations such as consultancy firms, construction, manufacturing, events and service organisations. Graduates have found employment in companies such as DXC, SPX Clyde Union as well as Local Authorities.

Professional Approval and Accreditation

This course is accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM). Accreditation is designed to help students and professionals choose the best academic education in support of their professional project management career. Students are entitled to free membership of the APM.

Placement Opportunities

Work-related learning opportunities are available if you are a face-to-face student and are delivered through field trips, case studies and a 'live' project at the postgraduate diploma level.

For those successfully completing the MSc Project Management, there is the option to undertake a professional practice placement at the end of their studies. Please note though that this will extend the duration of the course by an additional three months. However, you will exit with the degree MSc Project Management (Professional Practice).
