北卡羅來納州（英語(yǔ)：North Carolina）是位于美國(guó)南部區(qū)域大西洋海岸的一州。別稱“黑踵州”或“舊北州”。下轄100縣。州府為羅利，最大的城市為夏洛特。北卡羅來納有著寬闊的海拔地形，從沿岸海平面到約6,684英尺（2,037米）的山脈。沿岸、東部皮埃蒙特區(qū)域、與北卡羅來納中部氣候與其它南方的州如喬治亞和南卡羅來納類似；另一方面，西部山脈的氣候比較接近新英格蘭或中西部上區(qū)。當(dāng)沿海平原，特別是潮流流經(jīng)地帶，受大西洋強(qiáng)烈影響的同時(shí)，該州西部多山部份從沿海算起超過300英哩（500公里）的距離，造成可觀的與海隔絕。因此，該州的氣候范圍從沿海附近溫暖、濕潤(rùn)亞熱帶氣候，到位于山脈附近濕潤(rùn)大陸性氣候。該州大多數(shù)降雨于濕潤(rùn)亞熱帶區(qū)域。
