Princeton閱讀建議：

閱讀步驟一(step one)：Read for the main idea.（理清段落主要意思）

1)Always read the first sentence of a paragraph carefully, It’s the key to understand entire paragraph.When you’ve identified the main idea, it’s a good idea to jot down a couple of key words to encapsulate it.

對于段落的第一句話一定要仔細閱讀，它往往是你理解整個段落大意的關鍵所在。當你理解了段落大意之后，可以把其中的關鍵詞簡要記錄一下，這樣在你回過頭看該段落時就能很快的想起來它所表達的意思，為你節(jié)省答題時間。

2)Once you know what the paragraph is about, it isn’t necessary to pay a lot of attention to the other sentences in the paragraph

當你讀到已經(jīng)能夠大概了解該段落的意思時，就不必再花費大量時間在該段落上，直接開始讀下一段。

3)Think of this as variable speed reading understand the main idea, speed up, as to details, who cares?

在閱讀過程中重要的是既能夠快速找到段落的主要意思，對于每句話的意思是什么沒有人有時間去逐句理解。

閱讀步驟二(step two)：As you read, look for structural signposts（邊讀邊找標志性的詞匯）

1) Trigger words(“however”,” but”) aways signal a change in the direction of a passage

目標詞匯，如“however”“but”之類的詞經(jīng)常會被作為一個段落的轉折點。

Trigger words 總結：

but

nonetheless

although(even though)

however

yet

despite(in spite of)

nevertheless

notwithstanding

except

while

unless

on the other hand

2) Continuing-the-same-train-of-thought words 同樣含義的連接詞 (could be a sentences of fragments)

First of all… a second…third

In addition

By the same token

Likewise

Similarly

This(implies a reference to preceding sectence)

Thus(implies a conclusion)

3)Yin-Yang words(陰陽詞)

Whenever you spot a “陰”word，you should realize that there is a “陽”word on the way.

以下是書中陳列的“陰陽詞”

Generally

However, this time…

The old view

However, the new view…

The widespread belief

But the in-crowd believes…

Most scientists think

But doctor spleegle think

On the one hand

On the other hand

閱讀步驟三(step three)：

Attack the questions，Grasped the main idea, and attack the question aggressively

關注問題是什么，抓住文章要點來回答問題

1)General Questions 常見問題

“what is the primary purpose of the passage?”

“what is the author’s tone”

”which of the following best describes the structure of the passage”

All above is GQ(you should be able to solve GQ without going back to the passage)

2) using POE to eliminate wrong answer 就是我們通常說的排除法

It is always easier to eliminate incorrect answers than to select the correct answers.

其中要注意，一定首先把題中在原文沒有見到的選項先劃掉，以除后患。

3)對于GQ以外的Specific Question(本人認為可以理解為小安閱讀里的細節(jié)題，態(tài)度題，信息題。。?？傊畳哌^文章后一眼看不出來答案的題目都屬于SQ)

例如“the passage suggest…”

“according to the passage”

這樣的題中如果有”… in line 12”則難度系數(shù)無限降低, all you have to do is go back to the cited line, and read them start a little above them.

如果沒有這種Line references, 也并非難題，找到Lead words 同樣score!這里，老外書中寫的非常質(zhì)樸滑稽，大概就是：讓你用手指頭捋著屏幕往下讀,直到找到lead words 或者也可能是 lead phrase.

本書還介紹了一些排除法的事宜，太多了，讀者可以自己找一本相關的書，仔細閱讀排除法的部分。

再次提示，對于排除法的技巧，要明白GMAC答案的路子，即

GMAC want their correct answer to beindisputable so that no one will ever be able to complain.

比如關系到女權，美國黑人，或者土著文化。。。作者的態(tài)度不可能時偏激和反對的，換句話說, if you see strong word, eliminate!!!

2018年GMAT考試查詢方法：

GMAT的考試時間比較靈活，各地區(qū)的考試時間不同，考生可以在GMAT的網(wǎng)站上的查看考點的考試安排。

查詢考試時間的方法：打開https://www.mba.com/china，選擇“注冊GMAT考試”，之后選擇“尋找考試中心”，進入頁面后輸入國家和城市，選擇考點，即可查詢該考點的考試安排。
