When new towns are planned, it is more important to develop public parks or sports facilities than shopping centers for people to spend their free time in. Do you agree or disagree?

Town planning is a vital aspect of social development and the way in which public spaces are utilized is a key part of that process. It is important for town and city planners to consider carefully what kinds of facilities will be of the greatest benefit to the inhabitants of these areas. It is essential to strike a balance between the aesthetic qualities of the area and its commercial needs.

城市規(guī)劃是社會發(fā)展的一個重要方面，而如何使用公共空間又是這一規(guī)劃的關鍵部分。城市規(guī)劃者必須仔細考慮什么設施對該地區(qū)居民最有利。尋求當?shù)孛缹W品質和商業(yè)需求之間的平衡至關重要。

Certainly, commercial districts are a major factor in the economic growth and development of any town or city. Shopping malls and other retail outlets are key drivers of the local economy, creating demand for goods as well as job opportunities. Without a thriving hub of commercial activity, no town would grow beyond a few hundred people. It is therefore vital to ensure that there is enough commercial activity in the town or city to guarantee its future.

當然，商業(yè)區(qū)是任何城鎮(zhèn)經(jīng)濟增長和發(fā)展的主要因素。購物中心和其他零售店是當?shù)亟?jīng)濟的主要動力，它們產(chǎn)生商品需求和就業(yè)機會。沒有一個繁榮的商業(yè)活動中心，任何城鎮(zhèn)的人口都不會超過幾百人。因此，確保城鎮(zhèn)或城市有足夠的商業(yè)活動以保證其未來發(fā)展至關重要。

On the other hand, an increasing amount of town planners recognize the importance of developing areas of natural beauty or places of serenity where local residents can unwind. Future, areas that have seen a reduction in leisure and sporting facilities have also witnessed a rise in crime among disaffected youths. Parks, football pitches and swimming centers are a crucial way to provide young people with a sense of purpose and belonging in their local area. Thus, it is important that such facilities are not neglected.

另一方面，越來越多的城市規(guī)劃者認識到開發(fā)自然美景或寧靜場所使當?shù)鼐用穹潘缮硇牡闹匾浴４送?，休閑和體育設施減少的地區(qū)，叛逆青年的犯罪率也有所上升。公園、足球場和游泳中心是為當?shù)啬贻p人提供目標感和歸屬感的重要途徑。因此，這些設施重要性不容忽視。

On the whole, I would argue that increasingly leisure facilities are perhaps more important than shopping centers and commercial districts. As s vast amount commerce now takes place online, there is no longer such a pressing need to build commercial districts. Thus, leisure facilities should take priority.

總的來說，我認為越來越多的休閑設施可能比購物中心和商業(yè)區(qū)更重要。由于現(xiàn)在大量的商業(yè)活動都在網(wǎng)上進行，建立商業(yè)區(qū)不再是一個特別迫切的需要。因此，應該優(yōu)先考慮休閑設施。
