項(xiàng)目介紹:

Social work students and practitioners typically develop competence in a social work intervention method (e.g., interventions appropriate for social work with individuals, families, small groups, communities, or large populations), and a substantive area of social work practice (e.g., field of practice like child welfare, social problem like delinquency, population group like refugees.) Students will select a method and a substantive area for subsequent course work. Students will select 4 articles from peer reviewed social work journals that report findings from a research study relevant to their chosen method and substantive area. Assignments will require students to critically analyze these articles. The final project report will require students to present their critical analyses and draw out implications for the method and substantive area selected as the focus of their project. Students will work in small groups to share their analyses and to receive critical and constructive commentary from other students and the mentor. Students sharing similar method and substantive area focus may write their final project together, as a single group report. Students preferring to write their final project report alone, may do so. Course lectures will summarize key research concepts and methods and provide direction for each project assignment. Breakout groups will facilitate student discussion of readings and lecture content. 疫情肆虐,國(guó)際局勢(shì)動(dòng)蕩,不斷迸發(fā)的社會(huì)問題亟待探討,對(duì)于從事社會(huì)工作的學(xué)生和學(xué)者來(lái)說(shuō)也意味著不小的挑戰(zhàn), 本項(xiàng)目將通過介紹不同的社會(huì)工作研究方法來(lái)為學(xué)生們打下對(duì)于人類行為觀察能力以及對(duì)于社會(huì)問題分析能力的堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)。學(xué)生將通過閱讀社會(huì)工作調(diào)研相關(guān)的文章,進(jìn)行批判性思考。項(xiàng)目?jī)?nèi)容將主要從同行評(píng)議的社會(huì)工作期刊入手,包含但不僅限于:社會(huì)公共衛(wèi)生,兒童福利、犯罪問題、難民群體問題研究等。本課程導(dǎo)師將作為學(xué)生的引領(lǐng)者,傳授學(xué)生解決社科問題的主要技能和方式方法,涵蓋了諸如設(shè)計(jì)、實(shí)施、衡量和評(píng)估社會(huì)策略等主題;系統(tǒng)思維;風(fēng)險(xiǎn)下的決策;負(fù)面影響人們決策的心理偏見;影響行為的方法;成功所需要的必然代價(jià)。本項(xiàng)目的大部分內(nèi)容將致力于讓學(xué)生以團(tuán)隊(duì)的方式將這些概念和工具應(yīng)用到實(shí)際問題中,學(xué)生將在項(xiàng)目開始后根據(jù)選題進(jìn)行分組,縱向開展深度研究,項(xiàng)目結(jié)束后將收獲成熟且科學(xué)的解決方案(Paper)和詳細(xì)的研究過程(Workbook)。
