項(xiàng)目介紹:
群論是數(shù)學(xué)的基石之一,它的相關(guān)應(yīng)用極其廣泛,從基本粒子物理學(xué)到密碼學(xué)。在本項(xiàng)目中,教授將結(jié)合包括魔方解法等示例介紹這一優(yōu)雅的理論,并將深入到有限群的猜想及證明中。學(xué)生將自選包括orbit-stabiliser theorem或柯西定理的群論證明方法進(jìn)行研究,在項(xiàng)目結(jié)束時(shí)提交項(xiàng)目報(bào)告,進(jìn)行成果展示。 Group Theory is one of the cornerstones of mathematics. It finds numerous applications, starting from physics of elementary particles and ending in cryptography; it is taught to all mathematics undergraduates worldwide; it even governs the behavior of the Rubik’s cube! In this course the participants will be introduced to this elegant theory in an example-driven way. We will start with the basics, and reach some of the most exciting results of the elementary theory of finite groups.
