讀《哈利波特》學(xué)如何描述過去的經(jīng)歷

在上一期的微課當(dāng)中呢，我們主要學(xué)習(xí)了如何來描述一個(gè)人的外貌。那么，今天我們要繼續(xù)來根據(jù)《哈利波特》系列小說來進(jìn)行學(xué)習(xí)，今天的主題是學(xué)習(xí)描述過去的經(jīng)歷或者是發(fā)生在過去的一件事。

《哈利波特》原文節(jié)選：

The problem was, strange things often happened around Harry and it was just no good telling the Dursleys he didn’t make them happen. 

Once, Aunt Petunia, tired of （厭倦）Harry coming back from the barbers （理發(fā)店）looking as though he hadn’t been at all, had taken a pair of kitchen scissors （廚房用剪刀）and cut his hair so short he was almost bald （禿的）except for his bangs（留海）, which she left “to hide that horrible scar.” Dudley had laughed himself silly at Harry, who spent a sleepless （無眠的）night imagining school the next day, where he was already laughed at （嘲笑）for his baggy （寬大的，寬松的）clothes and taped （用膠帶纏住的）glasses. Next morning, however, he had gotten up to find his hair exactly as it had been before Aunt Petunia had sheared it off（剪掉）. He had been given a week in his cupboard （櫥柜）for this, even though he had tried to explain that he couldn’t explain how it had grown back so quickly. 

必備用法：

be tired of: 厭倦…

例句：She has been tired of her work for a long time. 她早已厭倦她的工作了。

barber: 理發(fā)師、理發(fā)店（也可以說barber shop）

例句：John’s little brother had been an apprentice for 5 years and eventually opened his own barber shop last year. John的弟弟足足做了5年的學(xué)徒，終于在去年的時(shí)候開了自己的理發(fā)店。

a pair of kitchen scissors：一把廚房用的剪刀

例句：I will have a BBQ party at home next month so I really need to buy some plates, knives, forks and a pair of kitchen scissors. 我下個(gè)月要在家里開燒烤派對(duì)，我真的要去買些盤子、刀叉和一把廚房用剪刀。

laugh at sb：嘲笑某人

例句：Tony is always laughed at because he is a bit fat. Tony總被嘲笑，因?yàn)樗悬c(diǎn)胖。

如何描述過去的經(jīng)歷？

兩個(gè)時(shí)態(tài)是必備

第一個(gè)是一般過去時(shí)

例如

She went to school in a small village. 

“她在一個(gè)小村子上學(xué)。”

另一個(gè)必備時(shí)態(tài)是過去完成時(shí)

也就是had+過去分詞的形式

He had learned piano for 5 years when he went to high school.

“在他上中學(xué)之前，他已經(jīng)學(xué)習(xí)五年鋼琴了?！?/p>

過去完成時(shí)表達(dá)的是“過去的過去”

過去完成時(shí)經(jīng)常和一般過去時(shí)套在一起使用

只要大家搞清楚時(shí)態(tài)的關(guān)系

就可以輕松敘述一件過去發(fā)生的事情了。
